Please join us in welcoming Jeffrey K. Raliski, AICP to the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO).
After completing a more than a 30 year career in Transportation and Long Range Planning with the City of Norfolk, Jeff joined the HRTPO in August 2018 as a Transportation Analyst II where his duties include: Transportation programming and funding, research and analysis on emerging critical topics, Transportation Improvement Program, GIS, and the Unified Planning Work Program.
During his time with Norfolk, Jeff was the lead City planner for the all aspects of the Norfolk TIDE light rail system, which opened to passenger service in 2011. Jeff also helped to coordinate other major transportation projects and studies including the widening of the Midtown Tunnel under the Commonwealth’s Public-Private Transportation Act, environmental reviews for potential new crossings of Hampton Roads Harbor, and multiple comprehensive transit service evaluations and plans. He was lead coordinator for the 2013 award winning comprehensive plan update for the City of Norfolk.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Planners and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He and his wife Barbara have one adult son and now raise and foster Golden Retrievers for the local rescue.
