New HRTPO FY 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

New HRTPO FY 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The FY 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), approved by the HRTPO Board last May, has received Federal approval and went into effect on October 1, 2020.  The new TIP represents a full update of the TIP – the previous full update having been approved in April 2017.

In conjunction with the new TIP, HRTPO staff – working with its web consultant, Insercorp LTD – updated the TIP website (www.HRTPOTIP.org).  The website includes a robust project information search tool, an interactive project map, comprehensive information on the development of the TIP, detailed procedures for requesting revisions to the TIP, and links to several other TIP related documents.

The TIP website provides two user-friendly tools to search for projects of interest.  The TIP Project Search Tool allows one to search for a project by entering criteria such as a street name or project description.  An Advanced Search option allows the user to filter the search by jurisdiction, project type, etc.  The TIP Interactive Project Map provides a geographic search option, allowing the user to find project information by zooming into an area and clicking on a project on the map.

Key features to enhance user accessibility to the TIP website:

  • Responsive design – website automatically changes to fit the device being used to read it
  • Ability to adjust font size
  • Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for color palette and screen motion
  • Language translator – approximately 104 languages
  • “New to the TIP” button – orientation for new users

The HRTPO TIP website and FY 2021-2024 TIP document are typically updated on a monthly basis as requests for amendments and modifications are received. Please contact John Mihaly (jmihaly@hrtpo.org) for questions or comments related to the FY 2021-2024 HRTPO TIP.
