Pavithra Parthasarathi recently joined HRTPO as a Principal Transportation Engineer, to oversee the efforts for the Long Range Transportation Plan. She has over 10 years experience in the field of Transportation, starting as a Transportation Consultant at URS Corporation in Minneapolis. During her stint at URS, she focused on travel demand modeling developing multi-modal transportation models to guide transportation investments. She also has significant expertise in environmental noise modeling. She recently defended her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Her dissertation focuses on how the design of a transportation network affects the way people travel. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) in the State of Minnesota.
