HRTPO Tabulates New Census Data

On Tuesday March 5, the Census Bureau released locality-to-locality commuting for 2006-2010 (average over five years).  This is the first detailed commuting flows information that the Bureau has released since the 2000 census.  HRPTO staff aggregated the census data and produced a new locality-to-locality commuting table for Hampton Roads.

 One can use the table to determine the percentage of persons working in the same locality in which they live:

 People in Norfolk are most likely to work within their locality, and people in Poquoson are least likely.
