HRTPO HRPDC Executive Director Set to Retire

HRTPO HRPDC Executive Director Set to Retire

At the January 16, 2014 Board meetings of both the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) and Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), Dwight L. Farmer, Executive Director of both organizations, announced his retirement.

Farmer has been a public servant for over 40 years, spending his last 35 with the HRPDC/HRTPO, including six years as Executive Director.   

Addressing both Boards and members of the public, Farmer noted “This has been an incredible journey; my career has been as good as anyone could ask.”  His retirement is effective July 1, 2014.
