SNA and GTS Enter into Public Private Partnership (PPP)

On Friday, October 13, 2023, the Southside Network Authority (SNA) and Global Technical Systems (GTS) entered a Public Private Partnership (PPP) by signing a Comprehensive Agreement under the Virginia Public-Private Education Facilities & Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA). The CA provides contractual details for the PPP whereby GTS will operate, maintain, and market the SNA regional fiber ring. GTS will initially lease 96 strands of fiber with the option to lease additional fiber. GTS will provide internet service to businesses, residents, and institutional users.
