Provide final input on the Regional Connectors Study’s proposed recommendations for future travel improvements between the Peninsula and Southside!
The Regional Connectors Study is nearing completion! Transportation planners have evaluated what transportation will look like in the future when traveling between the Peninsula and Southside, across the Hampton Roads Harbor.
The project team evaluated highway “segments” across the region to see how they might impact future travel. What exactly is a segment? Segments are new roads or widening projects that could improve how we cross the harbor and connect to other cities!
The team looked at congestion relief, economic vitality, resiliency, accessibility, and quality of life to come up with proposed recommendations for segment tiering and further evaluation.
This month, members of the project team will be out in the community to share the results from the Regional Connectors Study and gather final input from you! Stop by one of our open houses and learn more about recommendations for future proposed highway improvements for crossing between the Peninsula and Southside.
