The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO), the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Hampton Roads metropolitan planning area, has completed the DRAFT Planning Deployment of Zero-Emission Bus for Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) Report.
HRTPO staff conducted a study to assist WATA in deploying the Zero-Emission Bus (ZEB). As part of this study, the HRTPO staff reviewed ZEB deployments across transit agencies in Virginia, analyzed the technology and costs associated with ZEB deployment, researched best practices for training, assessed factors affecting route choice and analyzed the best route for ZEB deployment.
