The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO), the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Hampton Roads metropolitan planning area, is considering requests for new candidate projects for the 2022 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Program and the Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP). As part of the selection process, the public is encouraged to submit project ideas for the program.
All project ideas submitted by the public will be acknowledged and forwarded to the appropriate locality, transit agency, or state agency. The project ideas will be considered by those entities for possible submission as projects proposed for CMAQ or RSTP funding. The form to use for submitting project ideas can be viewed via the link below.
All interested parties are encouraged to submit their ideas to John Mihaly, HRTPO Principal Transportation Planner, at jmihaly@hrtpo.org or by mail to 723 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320, through August 24, 2022.
