As the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for Hampton Roads, the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) is responsible for developing and maintaining the region’s Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). On June 17, 2021, the HRTPO adopted the Hampton Roads 2045 LRTP. Part of maintaining the LRTP includes considering amendments to the Plan as new projects, funding, or programs arise.

The amendment process includes an opportunity for public review and comment. All interested parties are encouraged to review the proposed amendments and send comments to Ms. Dale M. Stith, Principal Transportation Planner, at dstith@hrtpo.org or by mail to 723 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320 by close of business on October 13, 2021.
