The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) will be undergoing a federal certification review from August 14 - 15, 2024, administered by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Certification reviews occur approximately every four years to ensure that the transportation planning process for the Hampton Roads region is being implemented in accordance with applicable provisions of federal statutes and regulations. To view documents submitted to the FHWA and FTA review team as part of the 2024 certification process, please check out the HRTPO2024 Federal Quadrennial Certification Review page.
To support that process, the FHWA and FTA will host a public meeting of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) at the Regional Building on Wednesday, August 14th from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. This meeting will allow representatives from the CAC to provide direct input related to their involvement with and experiences of regional planning processes.
Attendees can learn about the certification by reading the 2024 Certification Review Notification Letter PDF, and the associated notice for the August 14th CAC meeting. The meeting format will be hybrid, allowing attendees to participate virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person at the Regional Building (723 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320).
If you need additional assistance or accommodation to participate in this meeting, please contact Quan McLaurin (qmclaurin@hrpdcva.gov).
