The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is inviting residents, businesses, and stakeholders across the region to participate in a public survey as part of Hampton Roads Horizon, a long-range regional strategic plan focused on improving quality of life and strengthening the region’s economic competitiveness in the future.

Hampton Roads Horizon will serve as a blueprint for coordinated, data-informed decision-making across the region, addressing shared challenges and opportunities that cross jurisdictional boundaries. The plan builds on existing local, regional, and state efforts and is guided by six interconnected priority areas: Economy, Infrastructure, Housing & Community Development, Natural Environment, Resident Well-Being, and Visitor Appeal.

The online survey takes just five minutes to complete and offers participants a unique and engaging way to provide input. Each respondent is given an imaginary $1,000 to invest across 19 strategies aimed at improving quality of life and enhancing regional competitiveness, helping identify the priorities that matter most to the community.

As an added incentive, participants who complete the survey will be entered for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards.
